Chantal Gosselin - Liberabstra

The beauty of art is within the colors.

Biography

 Profil:

Chantal, originally from the region of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a self-taught painter, living in Montreal for 17 years now. She has always been fascinated by the arts. His creative process began in early childhood. Then, his training in drawing at CEGEP led him to the use of watercolor paint, oil paint and then acrylic paint. Over the years, she worked to gradually understand the composition of different colors and areas of light and shadow. Currently, she mainly produces canvases in a contemporary abstract style but from time to time she devotes herself to producing landscape paintings, animals and portraits according to her inspiration.

I begin each work with the meticulous choice of acrylic colors that will be used in its composition. These inspire me passionately. I always have the concern to surpass myself. It's stronger than me. I am excited to see the birth of a whole new painting. It is with the help of movements of spatulas, brushstrokes, splashes and dripping that I create with pleasure. These spontaneous gestures according to my imagination, free and without constraints allow me to express myself totally through art. I like to explore different processes and I am constantly looking to acquire new techniques that I put into practice immediately. I strive to make each painting truly unique and original. A finished canvas represents in a way a part of me and my feelings of the moment.
